At 34 years old, Redskins tight end Vernon Davis is nearing the end of his time in the NFL. But just because Davis is in the twilight of his career, it doesn’t mean he can’t still play at an elite level. In fact, according to quarterback Alex Smith, Davis has only gotten better in his older age.
Now, Smith isn’t just praising Davis because they are teammates and have a strong bond since their days together on the 49ers. Instead, Smith is complimenting Davis because he has witnessed firsthand how hard the 34-year-old tight end works on a day-to-day basis. According to Smith, Davis’ work ethic is why he is still a credible player at his age.
